But not everyone is going to record a hit song, win an audition, or be picked up. Sometimes, life has other plans.
Fulltime Musicians believe there are many paths to success as a musician, and your path is unique. It’s totally possible to make a full-time living as a performer without winning a record deal, or securing a spot in a professional orchestra. Communities thrive because of collaboration, but many in the music industry are at WAR. They are at war with each other and at war to scrap up the few remaining “good” gigs that are out there.
But frankly, that’s wrong.
When I first started my gigging act, I was scared and didn’t know how to find gigs. Plus, when I did run into one of my competitors, they treated me as an enemy even when I extended the olive branch.
It doesn’t have to be that way because especially after 2021, people are craving experiences that bring people together in an entertaining way. This means that there is an abundance of performance opportunities at private events across the world.
